The Wildman/AICPA medal, one of the highest research awards at the AAA has gone to a field research study published in The Accounting Review in 2010 by joe Brazel, Tina Carpenter and Greg Jenkins on brainstorming.

It is nice to see 20 years of advocating methodological diversity is paying dividends with recognition in the last hold out country in the world for field research – the USA.

Now if we could just get TAR to assign better quality reviewers to field research in general we would get a lot more published as there is some really great field work being done in the USA these days by younger researchers. With CAR becoming as slow as molasses in turnaround, we need more outlets for this work!
